HSMimages offers an extensive library of high-quality South African images covering everything from environment and lifestyle to sport and business. The site is fast and user-friendly, with a category-based layout making searches for images accurate and efficient.

Photography and Film

Highbury Safika Media has a team of four in-house photographers – Sarah Woods and Gareth van Nelson who are assisted by Kendall-Leigh Nash and Andreas Eiselen – and one film and editing specialist, David Swart. The team produces commissioned work for HSM publications in the fields of fashion, sport, travel, landscapes and product stills, as well as images for advertising clients. They also produce film footage of interviews and events for HSM's digital publications.

PR Consultancy

Highbury Safika Media is the media partner to the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc), providing communication strategy services. This entails facilitating all media communications, preparing media releases and media conferences, as well as being a media advisory to the president and chief executive officer of Sascoc.

HSM also produces Sascoc’s quarterly magazine, Road to Rio 2016, and runs the official Sascoc website.

PlayerLink Sports Management Group

Highbury Safika Media is the media partner and majority shareholder of PlayerLink, a sports management company that provides a comprehensive service for professional athletes. The company came about after the realisation that there was no consolidated service available for the management of South African sportsmen and women. PlayerLink provides a comprehensive service addressing the needs of professional athletes, including their financial, marketing, management, commercial, legal and post-career needs.

PlayerLink wants to set the benchmark in the sports management industry through its integrated media partner, knowledge, critical thinking, ethics, integrity, skills and the passion to succeed. The company strives to play a meaningful role in the athlete’s life, both on and off the playing field.
