An Equinox redesign sets the mag on a stellar course

Equinox, our award-winning lifestyle customer glossy, has undergone a major design overhaul. ‘The relaunch of Equinox is part of Tsogo Sun's rebranding process,’ explains editor Jayne Nankivell. ‘From an editorial perspective, readers can enjoy a broader mix of content incorporating the essence of the brand, from travel and fine dining to gaming and entertainment.’ Jayne says that content is now better presented in a contemporary, easy-to-read format, with plenty of tip boxes and other useful information.

 

 

Art director Liezel le Roux oversaw the project: ‘We wanted to create something more vibrant and contemporary, but still accessible. This was achieved by using bold colours, adding texture and depth to our designs. The type of imagery used in the magazine also plays a big part in the new look of the magazine, while the images are electric and striking.’

 

 

Equinox has won a Pica for HSM and with this forward-thinking redesign, we expect one or two more. See more of the new-look magazine here
