JSE signposts the way to award-winning design

JSE's Oct/Dec cover artwork represents this issue's take on the informal sector. 'It's based on a typical "no hawking" sign, but adapted to show a professionally dressed person instead,' says art director Andrea Kühn. 'This speaks to the content of the feature article about how to get the informal sector to formally contribute to SA's economy.' Andrea points out that road signs were used as a theme throughout the magazine on key pages and that the editorial colour palette echoes the bright hues found on real road signs.
