HSM to publish the Compleat Golfer magazine

Highbury Safika Media (HSM), one of the largest independent media houses in South Africa, will publish the popular Compleat Golfer monthly magazine after adding it to its impressive stable of multi-platform titles.
The development is through a partnership with Caxton.
In making the announcement, Tony Walker, the managing director of HSM, said he was looking forward to growing the magazine.
"Compleat Golfer launched in 1989 and it has become the most popular golf monthly in South Africa. I'm particularly excited to be able to partner with Caxton and bring Compleat Golfer under HSM's umbrella of sports titles, where we consistently put out products comparable to anywhere in the world," Walker said.
HSM currently produces some 35 lifestyle, business and sports titles across multiple platforms and its sports division includes SA Rugby (in English and Afrikaans),, SACricket and, SASCOC, Sowetan Soccer, TFG's SportsClub Monthly and SoccerClub Monthly, Business Day/Sunday Times Sport Monthly, Signature Golf and
"Compleat Golfer is a brand that we want to keep evolving. Here at HSM we never sit still and we're always looking at innovative ways of improving. Our sports editorial and design team is the best there is and has a proven track record in the industry. I'm confident that there are exciting times ahead for Compleat Golfer and we aim to see it become an institution in South African households for many more years to come," Walker added.
The final edition to be published by Ramsay Media will be a combined December 2015/January 2016 edition. The first Compleat Golfer under HSM's direction, will be available on shelves in early 2016.
